Model #DZ6VSA – Heat Pump Recall

For those of you that have heard about the Health Canada heat pump recall, rest assured that very few units are affected.  The only Daikin-branded model affected is the DZ6VSA with manufacturing dates of May 2022 to April 2024.  If you are the owner of such a heat pump and have a WiFi control installed, no action is required as the necessary software update (ie “repair”) is downloaded automatically with your thermostat.  if you are the owner of a DZ6VSA WITHOUT a WiFi control installed, please contact your Dealer or our dispatch office.

Always be sure to have your HVAC system serviced annually to avoid issues and ensure your system is running as efficiently as possible.   Found this severely corroded heat exchanger recently.  Unfortunately, this can be the result of failing to have your equipment serviced.
